Benefits of RFID tickets

• Our low-cost RFID tickets fill a gap in the ticketing market and resolve the customers' dilemma in justifying the business case of using more expensive smart cards for lower-value tickets and passes.
• The tickets' price makes them suitable even for short-period validity journeys (1 day up to 1 month), park-and-ride and multi-ride, and stored value tickets.
• The paper based construction and the reduced memory size greatly reduce the tickets price compared to a Smart Card and makes migration of sectors of ticketing range onto a SMART platform economically feasible. Low-cost RFID tickets allow customers to switch to a single technology system, and consequently reduce maintenance costs.
• The smart tickets' price will further decrease with market growthand the consequent improvements in manufacturing processes due to 'economy of scale' and technology progress - an area which BemroseBooth is actively developing.
• Our tickets carry 512 bits of data, which is marginally more than a magnetic ticket. This allows for a much greater flexibility in fare pricing.
• They are based on the ISO 14443 A standard, and so are fully compatible with all existing smart-card systems that operate under the same standard.
